Serra retained its No. 1 ranking after beating St. Ignatius Prep on Saturday, but the Wildcats leapfrogged Saint Francis to jump to No. 2.

Top-ranked Serra bounced back from Friday's loss to Valley Christian to beat St. Ignatius Prep on Saturday in a game that featured two bat flips and a flip of the glove.

It was a day of upsets in the WCAL. Serra and Saint Francis both lost, while St. Ignatius Prep took care of business and now looks to a Saturday game with the host Padres.
