Willie Baroncini brings back a tested core from last year's Central Coast Section-qualifying squad. Now it's a matter of the Knights finding the consistency the eluded them in 2025.
Hillsdale had two three-game winning streaks last year but found themselves losing their final three contests to finish the year 12-14.
Hugo Guzman is the Knights' top returner. The shortstop and pitcher will be counted on to do both this year. The good news is that he is completely healthy from a knee injury that cost him a few weeks in April of last year.
Junior Parker Jessup will rotate between shortstop and catcher, while senior infielders Tommy Schultz and Jacob Bonner will be counted on to fill out the lineup.
Juniors Jacob-Charlz Gementera, Curtis Lee and Jackson Snodgrass, a catcher, figure into Hillsdale's plans this year, too.
