Honorable Mention

Look at the statistics of Capuchino's Travis Ciardella and Hillsdale's Jake Belloni. Both were deserving of spots in the Prime 31. But their inclusion would have meant someone else not getting in.

Believe us when we say we noticed. The PAL Bay Division was loaded with top performers this year – from a slick-fielding shortstop at Menlo-Atherton like Will Roberts to Carlmont's Grant Goetz, who pounded out 33 hits in his final season of high school.

And yes, Ciardella, who hit .376 and drove in 24 runs, along with Belloni and his four home runs, caught our attention for the seasons they had.
