Ethan Williams struck out 10 in five innings of work on Wednesday as Los Gatos remained unbeaten in Santa Clara Valley Athletic League-De Anza Division play with a 6-1 over visiting Palo Alto.

The senior right-hander remained perfect on the year by allowing just one run on four hits as the Wildcats won their sixth straight game.

Junior second baseman Chase Frolich and senior catcher Rowan Smith drove in two RBI each.

The same two teams will meet on Friday in Palo Alto.

Homestead 10, Los Altos 3

After a slow start to the season, Homestead is beginning to come to life, particularly on offense, where they pounded out 12 hits on Wednesday in handing Los Altos its first De Anza Division loss.

Junior Ajay Lohitsa led the Homestead attack with four hits, including a pair of doubles. Will Hsu and Jayden Duong had two hits each, while Ren O'Hara drove in two runs.

That was more than enough offensive support for Hsu, who picked up the victory on the mound.

Los Altos got two hits each from Mitesh Jain, Cooper Very and Sean Hamby.

Wilcox 4, Santa Clara 2

Eliah Laureles went six innings for the victory and the Chargers benefitted from 10 free passes from Santa Clara pitching in their first De Anza Division win of the new season.

The loss was Santa Clara's ninth straight.

Junior outfielder Preston Jetson had three RBI, while Bishop Roque and Samuel Martinez added doubles. Martinez came on to pick up the save.

Menlo-Atherton 6, Menlo School 2

Caden Lewis picked up the win, while freshman Owen Coupe and sophomore Lucas Ten Vaanholt stepped up with two hits games for the Bears, who evened they PAL-Bay Division record to 2-2.

Max Brubacher drove in two runs for Menlo-Atherton, which will travel up the road to Menlo School on Friday.

Fletcher Cahill had two hits for the Knights.

Carlmont 3, Hillsdale 2, 8 innings

Carlmont opened its Bay Division season with its third win in four games, this one over rival Hillsdale.

Levi Wellman paced a 14-hit attack with three hits, while Caden Stinson, Lucas Chan, Nate Werbinski, Giancarlo Enferadi and Mikey Nishikawa had two hits each.

Werbinski went the first six innings, allowing eight hits and just one earned run, while striking out five. Jacob Shinseki pitched the final two innings and logged three strikeouts to pick up the win.

The Scots pushed across the go-ahead run in the top of the eighth. The two teams will meet again on April 10 at Oracle Park. Tickets are still available by clicking here.

Daniel MacMillian went six strong innings, allowing just a run on two hits, while striking out six in the Panthers' 3-1 victory over Capuchino.

The game was a preview to the April 11 game at Oracle Park.

Drew Gall pitched a scoreless seventh and had two hits, while Jean-Luc Uharriet had two hits.

Jordan Estrella was a hard-luck loser for the Mustangs.
