Greg Lee had three hits, including two solo home runs as Palo Alto steamrolled Menlo-Atherton and got back to the .500 mark for the season.

The Vinings, who dropped their first three games of the season, have won four of their last five after collecting 12 hits on Saturday.

Rex Martin added two hits, including a home run, while Kavan Zia and Jackson Sims added two hits each. Jackson Simms and Colton Sims drove in two runs each.

The Vikings, 2-0 in SCVAL-De Anza Division play, return to league play Wednesday when the travel to Los Gatos. The Wildcats will play at Paly on Friday.

Carlmont 9, Los Altos 3

After losing six straight games, the Scots won their second game in less than 24 hours by pounding out 10 hits in a 9-3 victory over Los Altos.

Levi Wellman went the first four innings to pick up the win and he collected two hits, including a double. Ryan Weiss and Zayden Luzzo had two hits each.

Carlmont begins PAL-Bay Division play on Wednesday against Hillsdale. Los Altos is unbeaten in four De Anza Division contests but had yet to win a game out of league play. It returns to league play next week with a series against Homestead.

Mitty 10, Burlingame 3

The letdown after Friday's 7-6 come-from-behind victory over St. Ignatius Prep that Mitty coach Brian Yocke feared, never materialized on Saturday as the Monarchs rolled to an impressive nonleague win.

Austin Mak had two hits, including a double and drove in two runs, while Felix Chang had two RBI for the Monarchs, who jumped to a quick lead and went to their bench. Chang and Sona Takahashi had doubles.

The Panthers were led by Aaron Lau and Kai Watanabe, who had two hits each.

Burlingame returns to Bay action on Wednesday under the lights against visiting Capuchino, while Mitty will travel to Saint Francis, the only remaining unbeaten team in WCAL play, on Tuesday.

Los Gatos 14, Homestead 2

The Wildcats improved to 5-0 in De Anza Division play after winning their second-straight laugher. In less than 24 hours, Los Gatos outscored its opponents, 33-2.

Brady Simon led the 10-hit attack with three hits, including two doubles, while Beau Musser had two hits.

Ren O'Hara had two hits for Homestead, which had been riding a two-game winning streak before Saturday.

The Crusaders wrapped up a disastrous week by losing to a City school after collecting a combined three hits in two shutout losses to Saint Francis in the series of WCAL play.

It doesn't get any easier this week with a two-game series looming against St. Ignatius Prep.

Reggie Fong has three hits, including a home run for Lowell, which improved to 7-3. Riordan's Liam Fong had a homer for the Crusaders making Saturday the only game this year where a Fong from each team hit a home run.

Santino Williams and Logan Tuman had two hits each for Riordan.

This is not a football score, one decided by a missed extra-point try. Nope. South San Francisco lost a slugfest despite pounding out 19 hits, including four hits – two of them triples – and five RBI from Vince Bernal.

Emilio Oseguera and Jayden Tejada had three hits each, while Oseguera add a home run.

The Warriors will see their best pitching challenge of the year this week when they face Sacred Heart Prep – and Rallin Covey and Kyle Sweeney – beginning Tuesday in a PAL-Ocean Division series.
