Aaron Bonini had two hits and drove in three runs, while sophomore Sione Tulua and junior Jack Leeper added home runs in top-ranked Saint Francis' 11-0 victory over Carmel on Saturday.
The game was move to a noon start to beat the rain and the Lancers wasted little time jumping all over the Padres by scoring two in the second, three in the third, two in the fourth and three more in the fifth.
Kyle McMillan went five innings and allowed two hits and three walks while striking out seven to pick up the victory. Antonio Madrigal, Chase McDermott and Matthew Moody combined to allow a hit over the final two innings.
The win was Saint Francis' third straight shutout. In 17 games this season, the Lancers have given up just 14 runs. In their last 14 games, they've surrendered just six runs.
Leeper drove in three runs, while Bonini and Gino Cappellazzo had doubles for the Lancers, who will host St. Ignatius Prep on Tuesday to start a crucial WCAL series.

The Vikings beat the Bears – and the raindrops – in a game that was called after four innings.
Nick Lafon had two doubles and drove in four runs, while Kendrick Choi had two hits and Carison Chiu had two hits and two RBI.
Lucas Wong went four innings, allowing a run on three hits. He walked three and struck out five.
The win snapped Mills losing streak at five. The Vikings will host Woodside on Tuesday for the start of a two-game series with its PAL-Ocean Division foe.

Dominick Chavarria's third-inning double scored two runs and helped the Bruins snap a 13-game losing streak.
Ian Denny went the first five innings to pick up the victory. He allowed just a hit and three walks, while striking out four. Bruce Gibson was nearly perfect over the last two innings in picking up the save.
Preston Huang took the loss despite having an impressive outing. He scatted five hits and didn't walk a batter in six innings of work. He struck out two.
The Bruins will return to the diamond on Friday when the travel to Los Gatos, while Mountain View will host Wilcox on Wednesday.

The Knights fell victim to the three-game week. The good news is that before Saturday game around, they have packed away two PAL-Bay Division wins and find themselves alone at the top of the standings.
Santa Cruz pounded out nine hits, including four from Caleb Cmaylo, who added two RBI.
The King's Academy got a two-hit game from shortstop Wyatt Smith, the transfer student from Prospect High.

The Vikings dropped their second game in two days despite two hits each from Jackson Sims, Greg Lee and Kavan Zia. Both of Lee's hits were doubles.
Leigh improved to 12-4 by collecting 10 hits, including two each from Damian Hernandez, Aiden Phillips and Grady Beaudoin, who might be the only player on the Peninsula with a last name that features every vowel. Just an observation.
