Fletcher Cahill went five innings on Monday, allowing four hits and a run as Menlo won for the third time in four games with a 4-3 victory at Palma.

Cahill struck out four before giving way to Liam Widner, who gave up two runs on three hits, but managed to get the final six outs of the game.

The Knights jumped to a 1-0 lead with a run in the third and took what seemed like a commanding lead by scoring three in the fifth. But the Chieftains added single runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings to make this one close.

Matthew Majalya had two hits to lead Menlo's five-hit attack.

The Knights have the rest of the week off before returning to the PAL-Bay Division schedule next week with a series against Burlingame.
