Work is underway for the postseason edition of the Peninsula Prep Baseball's Prime 31.

The Prime 31 honors the top 31 high school baseball players on the Peninsula. Some of the honorees led their teams to CCS championships, while others were the player of the year in their respective leagues. All of them were deserving, and sadly, some very good players were left off Prime 31.

Last year, Serra senior Ian Josephson walked away with the inaugural Prime 31 Player of the Year honors. A year later, he was named to the all-West Coast Conference second team after finding his way into the starting lineup at Saint Mary's College in Moraga.

Next week, we'll begin releasing the Prime 31 by starting at the bottom in our usual five-at-a-time fashion until the Prime Player of the year is unveiled. Each player will be profiled here. In addition, follow us on our Instagram account for the countdown, which will feature virtual cards for each of the honorees.
